I have tried several of the recipes and enjoyed them. I will be making the Amalfi lemon cake for a Mother’s Day dessert, served with strawberries, raspberries and whipped cream. I have also enjoyed the background stories which provides context. I got the book (like I need another recipe book) because we are going to the Amalfi coast and Rome in September.

Can't go wrong

This book has old favorites as well as new ones to try. I am never disappointed with a recipe from Milk Street as they always come out delicious and well worth the time and effort.

Beautiful table top with fantastic authentic italian recipes

I sat down and went cover to cover as soon as I received this cookbook. I loved it so much I gifted two friends with a copy as well. Recipes are well written, easy to follow and dishes that you don't find in your run of the mill Italian cookbooks. Milk Street's travels lets them find the most local traditional prepared dishes all over Italy. Many I have seen demonstrated on the tv show as well. A must have in my opinion.
