The Epic 480G is a beautiful fly rod with great feel when casting I’ve already been asked by an instructor if I ever want to sell it let him know first!

A light and accurate rod. I use it for small streams so don’t really push it for distance casting but I have no doubt it has plenty of power (for a 4 weight). Light swing weight makes it feel like some 3 weights. Really good accuracy and great for fishing Aussie rivers the length making it more manageable, though does impact contact nymphing. Great dry fly rod.

Epic 480G Fly Rod

I have not had an opportunity to fish this rod yet. I bought it primarily for summer small stream dry fly fishing and have only cast it on the grass. The Epic Glassline DT4 fly line appears to be the perfect match. Exceptional build quality and light as a feather. Swift Fly Fishing's customer service is first rate.
