This 5 weight is the best I’ve ever had the pleasure of using. It’s accurate at all distances, presents dry flies beautifully. It has such a light swing weight yet enough power in the blank to punch flies into the wind when things get a bit blowy. I can highly recommend trying the Epic 590G. Cheers Paul

It’s a Winner!

The Reference 5wt 590G Carbon Fiber Fly Rod is a winner. I’m truly enjoying its crisp action while casting and how it helps me tightly target my dry flies, dry droppers, and nymph rigs. Nice sensitivity so I’m able to feel the first twinge of hits by the browns, brookies and rainbow trout on my favorite mountain streams. A real treasure of a rod.

So far so great

I’ve only had my new 590G on the river once, but I was so pleased with how it cast. It was night and day compared to others I’ve casted or owned. There is so much life in this beautiful tool and enough backbone to fight our big browns and annoying winds. So, though I haven’t put it through its paces yet, so far so good!
