Cold Deep Waters

This is a truly beautiful aquatic. For me, it reads “ocean” due to the salt, but the frigid quality of the water is most notable. Between the iced tea, the blue lotus and the ambergris, this smells COLD. The salt note is very prevalent, which I adore (even in directly ocean inspired scents I find it can be lacking). Lastly, the burnt birch gives this a slightly woody, smoky note that really fills out the image. I put this on and I feel like I’m a deep sea creature swimming in the darkest, coldest waters. This is a staple in my collection. It reminds me of “Odin’s Eye,” which is a cool, smoldering atmospheric blue. But because this reads ocean to me, its a great summer scent when I want a moodier, darker feel. Yet its cold enough, it doesn't feel out of place in winter either. A very versatile perfume! It rarely gets packed away for the season.
