Birch Essential Mattress

“I’m waiting for you to be great. ”

On the bottom, Birch, you were good, I'm waiting for you to be great. I was replacing an IKEA mattress (that apparently they don’t even sell anymore maybe because of how bad it was) that had a dip in the middle about six months after I got it. I did a lot of research on trying to find something nontoxic, fiberglass free, and comfortable. This mattress had a lot of really good reviews and people did say it softened up a little over time. I’ve had this mattress for a bit more than a month and it has softened up a bit. The issue is the middle of the bed that runs horizontal where your hips lay is more raised than the head and the foot of the bed so when I lay flat on my back, I feel like I’m sort of laying on top of an oval. That part of the bed is more stiff and definitely did not soften up as much as the rest of the bed. Maybe that part takes a little more time to soften up and level out. So for right now I’m making it work but honestly, who wants to sleep on their back feeling like they have a pillow under their hips? Looking into an inexpensive mattress topper to see if I can make it work. I hate to feel like I’ve spent twice. I do love that it’s non toxic!

First latex mattress

My previous mattress was just coils. I was looking for an affordable latex/coil mattress and researched a TON. When I saw this had been released, I was looking forward to trying it. Much better price point than others. It is actually softer than my old mattress, and I’m surprised. I thought it would be more firm. Inside and back sleep and it’s actually been great! I assumed I’d have an “aches and pains” period but it never happened. Definitely glad we got this mattress. Oh! Also, no smell when we opened it up. Grateful for the materials being safe for my family.

Perfect for guests

We bought this mattress for our guest bedroom. Our first guests raved about it and said they had the best sleep in weeks. They just had to know where we got it and I gladly recommended the Birch Essential.
