Black lips that aren't cartoonish

This product is somehow sheer and pigmented all at once. In this shade it's not a fast application (I have it in Rose Dew which is more forgiving) to get an even coating. It's only a four star for me because it doesn't wear terribly long but also it bleeds a little into the skin around my mouth on reapplication. I am looking for a dark pencil to maybe counter this but also feel like that defeats the object of a gloss type product.

I was excited about this based on the reviews. But it has a super weird smell and the color separates on your lips :( not worth the 27$

Hydrating and flattering

I am impressed with how hydrating the gloss is while still feeling light and not sticky at all. The black blends well with my natural lip color and creates a really nice effect. Does require lip prep because it will settle in dry areas, but that is to be expected.
