Finally, a color match

I’m happy with the texture and coverage, and thrilled with the color 111 which actually matches my skin. It’s been years since I had a concealer that isn’t too peach, orange, or yellow, so this is changing the game for me.

Truly weightless

I am not a make up pro by any means. I often try new products only to be disappointed and discouraged about wearing make up. Understanding my skin type has gone a long way, however, this is my favorite concealer I’ve tried in years. A little bit goes a long way to helping reduce my under eye woes.

Didn’t work for me

This is a very heavy thick concealer in the vein of shape tape. I’ve always needed a more hydrating concealer for my under eyes, under the nose and at the sides of my mouth, but this doesn’t seem to be the one and the serum foundation isn’t pigmented enough to work as a concealer for me, nor does it set the way I need a concealer to—in that regard this concealer really delivers. I also find the massive doefoot unhelpful. This concealer is so pigmented I can’t imagine anyone using a whole applicator’s worth of product, so putting the wand back in the tube got messy pretty fast. I hope RDF comes out with a more hydrating version of this concealer, as many brands have done with their standard concealer formula. That or make a better version of a YSL touche éclat type concealer with ingredients I actually trust. I was so looking forward to this launch as I prefer to wear only a tiny bit of concealer and no other base makeup, but sadly this is a miss for me. I hope RDF will have us makeup minimalists covered in the future and not just those that love a full beat or a complete layer of serum foundation.
