4 batteries 2 plug in $100 in shipping.
I ordered 4 in the past year after my door stated having issues. Along with 2 wall plug units. I took the unit apart cleaned out all the dog hair which helped for two weeks but then it failed again. I went and purchased a meter to check the voltage and the only battery that would work was one that had a 12.4 or so charge. All three of the others were 13.5 plus and would not allow the door to function. Two were charged with the charger that came from Hi Tech and one from the Dog Door. Currently I removed the plastic door modified the inside to hold a flapper and the dog are using that. Originally I was going to send back the two batteries I received but didn't but now wish I had. I would have saved $150. New dog door about $550. Thinking?

The door works great, we're saving time and kilowatt hours.
The door works great. We easily got used to adjustments needed for our pup's proximity device, and our pup got used to using the door in one day. No longer do we have to air condition the State of Texas, or constantly get up and open or close the door to let her in and out.

New battery was not really the problem, but now I have a new one in our door.
