RazoRock Superslant OPEN COMB Base Plate - Multiple Options

L3++OC back to my roots- sorta

After failing the straight razor journey, I started my DE experience with an R41 no less. For the longest time, I was actually very content with just that one razor. Like may others, I too wanted new experiences, and tried several razors: aggressive-mild, OC, closed comb, new, vintage and with the influence of a certain YouTuber, I grew an affinity for Slants. Previously I tried manufacture from popular German and Italian makes- but they could, I thought, be made better. So, I finally pulled the trigger. Now, I don’t have the most dense beard growth out there, but somehow, I’ve always liked that “blade feel”, but that’s just me (we all being different). The control on this L3++OC is off the hook! Efficiency goes without saying. Now, don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t want to use this puppy as my daily shaver (I tried it for the first time after a good week’s worth of growth). For daily shave, which I try to keep to, looking presentable for work, I got the L1++ closed comb. But, long story short, if this L3++ were my only razor, like way back when the R41 was, I’d be a happy camper. FYI I got the DOC, the mildest varient, for my 18yo son. Hope he’ll get as much joy from it as I do from mine.

L1 ++ OC baseplate

The baseplate is just as good a quality (i.e. high) as the initial full Superslant razor I bought. The L1 ++ open comb is a nice step down in aggression from the L2 ++ open comb I started with without feeling like it's leaking in efficiency. Nice option days I am wanting to experiment with different blades or just need a milder shave in general.

Excellent OC base plate!

I have the 2+SB base plate and wanted the OC to complement the SB. I selected the 2++OC and it was a wonderful choice. It slightly amps up the performance without sacrificing the smoothness of the shave. And it's an OC that actually feels like an SB (smooth rounded teeth!) A++
