Smells like car air freshener

I had gotten a sample of Magician and Royal. Both smell like car air freshener. Magician smells like pine air freshener and Royal smells like orange air freshener (or maybe orange scented car cleaner). Magician smells almost nothing like orange blossom. Aside from that, they shave decently. Lathers well but its not all that slick or helps with shave comfort.

Hard time getting a good lather

I got the samples The Rambler, The Master and Royal (Leather). I liked all 3 scents but couldn't get one of them to build a good laying lather. I tried multiple times with various amounts of hot water and got only a thinly, quickly vanishing lather. It was slick though, so i still could shave but nothing compared to other brands I ordered sample from. It's sad because I really like the scents, especially Royal (Leather). Won't buy again 😥

Maggard is awesome. This soap has a great scent. Still need to wet shaving so don’t want to call it too early, but so far so good. Doesn’t quite lather the same as some others from what I’ve seen, but you can make it work. Overall, I’m pleased with scent and performance.
