Redeemed my points for this tea maker. It looks more similar to the second images of the tea maker- no bevels or ridges on the glass like in the initial photo of the tea maker in the listing. It is of very bad quality. The handles on the lid and cup don't attach properly- they're crooked and look like they were hastily glued on with hot glue. The wood is also glued together poorly. It generally has the construction of something more akin to a childs art project and is not anywhere close to the presentation piece that I hoped it would be. Additionally the screen doesn't fit well into its cavity, so tea leaves slip through. Then they jam into the space for the metal ball and the set drips until you clear out the tea (which just slips around the screen again on the next steep). I was able to bend the screen a bit to make it fit better, but I just don't actually see myself using this set at all because the quality takes away too much from the experience. I gave it about 4 good tries before I put it back in the box to donate. I do love the idea though and will be in a the market for a nicer quality one.

The hourglass teamaker makes making tea much easier for me. I have a gaiwan but have always had difficulty holding it because of my disability but the tea always tasted so much better with multiple steaps. This way I can brew tea without my hands hurting. Also the quality of the teamaker is wonderful. I comes apart fully for better cleanup

I thought it would be more of a gimmick, but it has become a daily driver for brewing.
