Hong Mao Feng Jasmine Black Tea

I bought this tea on a whim. It was on sale, looked neat, and I added it to put me over the threshold of free shipping. Let me tell you, it is one of the happiest accidents I've ever made. Upon receiving it I brewed some and instantly ordered 500 more grams. The closest thing I can compare it to aroma and flavor wise is like. . . chocolate covered Turkish delight? A friend described it as smelling like a purple tootsie pop and I wish I could disagree. But it kinda does. But in a good way, I promise. Not even remorely artificial. I have brewed this every way I know how. I have abused it, overstepped it, tossed it in a thermos, I have never once managed to make it bitter or unpleasant. Only thing I haven't tried is cold brewing and that's next on the list. Truly, this tea is dessert and is just purely lovely. If it comes back into stock, get you some. Do it.

I have been searching all over the world to find Jasmine Black Tea, including not being able to find it on a recent trip to Shanghai. Hunan Jasmine Black tea is very smooth and has a subtle presence of jasmine.
