I wanted something that I could use for everything, I could grab at a moment, was always in my bag. At the same time, I didn’t want anything. I cared too much about I didn’t want a fancy handle or anything. I would be mad if it got banged up. The additional use of having the para cord should it be needed (for anything) is also a good add. It’s costly, but it’s made in the USA and you can actually see the guy who owns the company. In the marketing and the story of how he started it, rings real American. I love this knife. Paired it with a speedgoat 2.0. Both fit nicely in my bino harness. Not much weight added for my hunting setup plus get the added benefit of using it for EDC. I have a lot of knives and MKC is at the top of my favorites. I was there for the grand opening and the people and facility are top knotch. Next on my list is the hatchet.
