Makes a big difference on LONG rucks
I have had a hip belt on a 20L Rucker 4. 0 which I use for shorter heavier rucks (50 pounds +), and now on a 20L Rucker 2. 0 with a 20 pound plate that I use for longer rucks. I'd held off on putting a belt on the Rucker 2. 0 and had done several longer rucks up to 17 miles without the belt, but upper body fatigue started to be a factor at those distances. Yesterday I did a 24-mile ruck with the hip belt, 33 pounds starting weight, and I was much(?) less fatigued during and after. I still feel my traps and upper back a bit, but nothing like I did without the hip belt. I'm signed up for the 50-miler at HQ in November, and I'll definitely be using a hip belt on whichever Rucker I end up using for that event. Probably the 2. 0, since it has the slash pocket!!! I'm 6 foot, 179 pounds, athletic build, 31 inch waist jeans, and the small hip belt is almost too large. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to tighten a standard size hip belt tight enough to do any good.

Good Belt, Makes a Difference
I bought the hip belt when I moved up to 50 lbs in my ruck, and it does a great job distributing the heavier weight. The side molle attachments work well, and you can still attach a pocket or water bottle pouch on the side. The only thing keeping it from five stars is the fact that there are some black stains on it. They aren't big, and I didn't buy this to keep it clean, but it might matter to some people.

Works fine
Works great holds the weight flat against my back and not moving from side to side. I feel like it should be part of the backpack right from the start not an accessory. Seems like a money grab
