Great for pourover

I love the minimalist design. The way this packs into a flat shape is really ingenious. I have had good results using a normal #2 cone filter in the basket, and using a pourover technique, made great coffee.

I love this thing! I have tried a bunch of ultralight coffee making contraptions over the years. Most of them I got rid of for various reasons - either ineffective or screen clogs or just too flimsy. I had gone back to my old black plastic pour over filter cone thing, because it actually works, but wasn’t really ultralight (3.5 ounces), but since it makes good coffee I felt it was worth carrying. This one works just as well and is 2 ounces lighter and packs way smaller because it collapses flat. It’s my coffee slinky! I have been using a size larger filters than they recommend for this, because that’s what I have - they work great with no issues. I hold one of the tripod bases to keep it steady while using it on larger cups and it’s been great. For me, it really only holds enough coffee grounds for one cup, but I like coffee. Another great product from Garage Grown! Huzzah!
