Arclight City Pedals

Bright and heavy

The lights are brighter than I expected, and I like that they "know" which direction they are pointing, and automatically change color. The pedals themselves are heavy/substantial. I would like a bit more grip to them, esp when they are wet. Overall I'm happy with this purchase. Redundancy in bike lights is important as we transition to commuting home in the dark.

Bright but Not that Grippy

Having used the Arclight in conjunction with my multiple multi-mounts on different items like my helmet, the bike rack, etc. and having been a fan of its features, when my stock pedals broke, I figured this is an opportunity to finally get myself the Arclight Pedals. Coincidentally, fall was just around the corner. So when the package arrived in time for my first fall ride, as I usually ride end of the da, early evening, the timing couldn't be any better. Overall, atleast in my case, one of the things I needed to get used to was not looking down at my pedals fascinated at my soles' "underglow". Ü As I wasn't too sure if they'd end up being to bright for the motorists, I've only set them to flash mode so far and not the steady mode. They definitely last the isual 1hr ride I do. The packaged chsrger definitely comes in handy not only to charge the Pedal's lights but my other previous Arclight. I was expecting more with regards to grip though. I was torn between the Pro or the City but ended up with the City for the price point Anyway, I don't intend to do enough rough pedaling for now so the City versions should do for the time being. Overall, they're a decent flat pedal platforms with exceptional visibility addition to your night rides.
