Well-constructed All-Weather Lock

This Squire "All Weather" lock appears to be well made with a stainless-steel shackle, a solid brass body covered with a hard polymer shell, and a rubber cap to cover the keyhole. The outer shell has the appearance of rubber but appears to a hard polymer shell. The rubber cap that covers the keyhole is opened by bending its elastic hinge and closed by pressing its elastic lip back into the plastic shell. In its new condition, the cap closes and grasp the plastic shell, however with age the rubber cap may not grasp and fail to stay closed. The 5/16" shackle diameter actually measures .314" and barely fits the hitch catch holes on my trailer. The key cycles smoothly and the spring-loaded shackle opens quickly.

The Squire “All Terrain” Padlock is a solidly built lock designed for continuous use and exposure in harsh conditions. It has a rubberized coating on the lock body and a rubber flap on the bottom for an extra layer of protection from the weather. The shackle is spring loaded; when you push it down the sound and feel leaves no doubt that it’s locked. Same when unlocking, the key action is smooth and the shackle will pop up when you turn the key. Two keys are included with the lock. Good choice for storage sheds, trailers, gates, etc.

Wonderful lock for outdoor use

I love this lock set for my outdoor shed. The waterproof case the set is in is perfect to protect the lock from rain and smokey weather. It is a sturdy lock with 2 keys. I would definitely buy this product for exposed doors or for marine and not use.
