Le Klint frame 404 for Le Klint Sax Lamp
I recently inherited a Le Klint Sax Lamp from family back in Denmark. Unfortunately, during the flight back to the US, the frame for the shade was damaged. Looking at Le Klint’s website, I found the correct frame for this shade and ordered it from Hansen Interiors, as Le Klint doesn’t ship to the US. When the shade arrived, it didn’t fit the socket on the lamp, and with the help from Eric at Hansen Interiors, and his connections at Le Klint back in Denmark, we learned that there’s two versions of sockets on this lamp, and mine is the older version, for which the original frame is no longer produced. Le Klint has instead some reduction rings they use for adapting the newer frame with the old socket, and I ordered these via Eric. I then went on to refurbish the lamp with a fresh cable I have had lying around for years. Fortunately for me, in the old box with Danish electrical equipment, I found an old Danish made socket that will fit the new frame, and the order for the reduction rings was cancelled. Throughout the whole ordeal, Eric from Hansen Interiors was very helpful and even took it in good stride when I cancelled the reduction rings. I now know that I can get help from Hansen Interiors with “stuff” for some of my old Danish lamps, and highly recommend them and appreciate the professionalism they and Eric showed me.
