Leitz NV Zero Point Five Non-Alcoholic Pinot Noir

Leitz does it again!

As a huge fan of Leitz's Eins Zwei Zero sparkling, I had high hopes for the Zero Point Five red that were, for the most part, absolutely rewarded. Like many other de-alcoholized reds, Zero Point Five lacks the body of its alcoholic counterparts, but thanks to their exceptional Rheingau terroir and their traditional vacuum distillation method of removing alcohol, Leitz manages to keep closer to the original than many of their competitors. The result is a light bodied but full flavored red that stands up alongside any wine that a sommelier would classify a 'chillable red.' Indeed, Zero Point Five makes for a pleasant accompaniment to a Sunday roast or hearty tomato sauce whether it is served room or fridge temperature. Highly recommend.

I wish I could give it 4.5 stars

I have been sampling nonalcoholic wines for a little while, and I generally find that the reds are more difficult to imitate. This is by far the best one I have found so far. Whether dinking it on its own, or with food, the flavor of this Pinot Noir is excellent. I will definitely be buying more.

For a product with zero alcohol, this wine tastes quite good.
