My New Warranty Replaced RV Lock Upgrade!

This new RV lock as shown in the picture goes on my 2021 Thor Four Winds 28A. Before you do anything please completly charge the unit up to full charge to ensure the best possible battery life as this sets the battery life up as to how it will charge later. It sets a precedent for longer battery life. When installing it you really need to clean your door exterior and interior parts to get the new lock to seat in correctly as it is very tight on going together as per the tolerances. The lock took me 3 times to get it right. What I learned is, you will need to seat the door handle mechanism flush and tighten all three screws hand tight to the door while holding both sides together correctly seated. Once this is in like this and the 3 screws are hand tightened you can then check the handle open and close mechanism to make sure it is in the just the right position. Do it this way only. Once it seems to work as you need,then tighten the 3 screws completely and you now have a flawless working handle. In addition there is now a gasket on the frontside of the lock which the original did not have to keep out moisture. Yeah!! The buttons on the outside have an excellent amount of pushback so no more pecking at the keys at just the right pressure to get it to work. I have had the lock for over a week now and it seems simplified and refined. I would highly recommend this model RV Lock based on my experience thus far. Now I await to see how long it goes in between charging to full when it needs charging. L. Budow Texas
