Heavier and More Rigid than other Trail Thrashers
Before buying these, I had the normal Trail Thrasher shoes from Lems. In fact, I love them so much I have them in two different colors. They are my go-to shoe for comfort while still being stylish and they are the only shoe I can wear multiple days in a row without having shooting plantar fasciitis pain. When these waterproof ones came out, I was SO excited. I've had them for about a week now and have worn them a few times so far, each time for at least 9 hours. These ones are MUCH heavier than the originals and the shoe itself does not have as much flexibility as the original ones. I found myself changing out of these and putting on my other ones to go on a walk. I am hoping that, with time, I will be able to break these ones in to make them more comfortable. Maybe the waterproofing makes them more rigid and heavy and just takes time to break in. Fingers crossed it gets better, but so far I am a little disappointed and my feet are achy after wearing them.

Did The Job
Needed waterproof hikers for my trip to the Scotland and Ireland. Tried Xero and Altra before settling on these shoes. They took me through 12 days of hiking and city walking. I have a bunion and a mild Tailor’s bunion on my left foot and the shoe rubbed against the Tailor’s bunion. Will have to look for another pair for future trips.

Impressed
I work outside with a lot of different terrain i encounter on a daily basis. I was tired of wearing heavy boots everyday but I needed something that would keep my feet dry, comfortable, and not slippery. I am so glad I purchased these because they fit all 3 categories. They are a little pricey, but as long as they last me atleast a season at work I will gladly purchase each year.
