Great shoe that needs some durability improvements

I got these shoes in late February 2026 (usually wear an 8, for the 8.5). They are incredibly comfortable right out the box with plenty of toe room. They look a little like retro bowling shoes to me but not so intently that I didn’t want to wear them. The main cons is durability and looking incredibly grubby after only 5 months of wear. I have worn white sneakers for years and have had several leather pairs. I always spray with shoe protector before using, and wash the laces & condition the shoe every few months. BOY, do these guys get dingy looking way faster than my other brands! I really think they could benefit from a rubber toe kick on the top and maybe gum soles. The leather is quite soft and the marks on top are cuts/scuffs, not dirt that can be washed off. I don’t even need my shoes to be pristine, but less immediately cut up would be great. Overall I’m pretty disappointed. I will wear these out but am kind of embarrassed to wear them to work. I don’t think I would buy again without some kind of toe retrofit, as that damage happened within the first few wears. Great fit, great level of comfort, but dang the white does not stay fresh. I would not recommend the white but would recommend other styles from this brand.

Brilliant Shoes - this is my second pair

I absolutely LOVE these shoes - they are my go to for everything, worn so much I bought a second pair to keep solely for "good" occasions! Highly recommend
