Ooni Rotating Stone

Positives: Ooni's packaging is excellent. Installation instructions are straightforward. The rotating stone is the BOMB! Negatives: They don't tell you at the time of purchase that if you have a Koda2 14" , you have to have the Temp Gauge to complete the installation. The Temp Gauge is standard on the larger ovens but optional on the 14". Fortunately I bought the Temp Gauge at the same time as the rotating stone. Otherwise I would have had an unplanned expense and a wait for it to arrive. With the temp gauge installed you can't see the light/ sensor on the motor controls the starting and stopping. It remembering the modes and how to activate each takes a while. Having said these things the rotating stone takes the whole installation to another level. Cost notwithstanding they should all come with it.

Rotating stone

I really like this product for my Pizza oven. I wanted to try it out during a Pizza party. I cooked about 40 pizzas that day. The one awesome thing about the stone is the rotating to keep it hot during pizza bakes. The pizza pies would cook fast and even. The one thing that was a little disappointing is that after about an hour into the bake I would start the stone with a pizza on it and it would stop. I would have to restart it. Other than that it does what it promises. Quick restaurant pizza. I would highly recommend this product.

First time using the new rotating stone; very well made, straight forward instructions and very easy to use, the slow rotating speed used when warming up is very clever
