Cute but hard to break in

I love the look of these shoes but they have been very slow to break in. I've worn them 4 times now for 20-30 minute walks each, and they are still leaving my feet sore for a day or two afterward where the leather is incredibly stiff (at the base of my toes and inner ankle). The sizing was also a challenge -- 7. 5 was way too short, and 8 (which I kept) is too long, although the width is good. The laces are very difficult to tighten (very stiff laces and the holes are tiny) and also come untied constantly so I have to double-knot them. Overall, they are cute and will hopefully turn out okay once they break in, but in case they don't I'm very glad I didn't pay full price.

These white sneakers fit well, look good, and are really comfortable. They are very well made; I will be wearing them a LOT!
