xDuoo MU-601 Desktop DAC

Fantastic started DAC

This is my first Hi-Fi DAC, and I have it paired with xDuoo's MT-602 AMP, which is also my first Headphone AMP. Using both those with my new Sennheiser HD 560S and some JAN 5654W Platinum Grade Pair tubes and the sound is unbelievably good. These 4 things combined, in my opinion, are a fantastic value for the price for anyone looking to venture into their first Hi-Fi setup. My only complaint, is the overall volume/gain/loudness from the DAC to the AMP is way too loud. I have to use it in WASAPI non exclusive mode, with a preamp of -7.5 using Peace EQ. Otherwise turning the volume past the 25/100 is unbearably loud. A gain switch somewhere in the mix would have made these 2 perfect.
