Great, informative read.

I collect signed books, and after seeing Mr. Harris and his daughter on a popular podcast, I knew I had to have a signed copy of A Bold Return. Great, informative read overall. It makes me think differently about so many things. I suppose what struck me most was how consumers think they have a lot of choices at the supermarket, but actually have very few. Also, the watering down (and even deceptiveness) of terms like “organic” or “free range,” and increasingly “regenerative,” in advertising by Big Food. Going forward I will buy whatever I can from White Oak Pastures and my local regenerative farm. I also hope to visit the Harris farm someday. They have cabins and RV spots! Finally, the leather bookmark is unique and a very nice touch. A neat departure from the pins, stamps, cheap paper bookmarks with QR codes, etc. , that frequent book signings these days. I don’t have anything like it!

Caring and Daring to Change

I’m reading your book now. I am enjoying the spirit, heart, responsibility and validity of the changes you have chosen to make. Taking a stand and taking action to change course in order to return your land to its natural vitality on a permanent basis as well as providing your livestock a more humane and natural life, also very commendable. I am a devoted animal lover and I don’t personally consume animals or birds on a regular basis but I have to admit, I’m tempted to help support your farm in a limited way. I’m a realist so my decision may be influenced by the details of processing. I do wholeheartedly agree with your assessment of the existing food industry. I hope your success will encourage many other farmers across America to follow the lead. Thank you for your book. It’s good to know how much love and honesty lives at White Oak Pastures.
