Grass died before it was 12 days

Hi, I dont know what happened but it died pretty quick. My cats got like 1 day of eating on it before it died. I actually dont have a green thumb and I liked this because it said all I had to do was soak the seeds for 8 hrs. Then I put them out poured the water in, did everything it said. Maybe you can tell me if I need to do anything else with it.

I would love to send a video of my cat Riley enjoying this grass. No clean up of cat grass grown in soil where Riley pulls this grass up by its roots and makes a gigantic mess in the floor. Also it’s been 14 days and have plenty of grass left for him to nibble on. Just make sure he to water it according to the directions.
