not what it used to be
its my 3rd set of skins and first time with this generation. The plastic front make it the worst skin ive try. It doesnt stick to your ski and become hard outside so it allowed snow to slide between you ski and skin. The main thing i hated was the cheap knife that come with it. it wasnt sharp at all and making edges while cutting. Hopefully i had my old one from my first set (15yrs old) and it was like charm but my skin arent as great as its supposed to. Im going to used it this year but it wont last... and i cant do 2 runs in the same day with the amount of snow going in... ill switch brand next year.

Great Skins
Love these skins ... great glide makes skinning easy!
Note: I brought two pairs of climbing skins on a hut-to-hut trip in Slovenia last year. The snow was wet and heavy. The first pair balled-up badly, and re-coating them did not cure the problem. The second pair of 'glue less' skins just coming loose off the ski bottoms. In panic, I ran out and could only find an old pair of G3's at a shop. Although short for my skis, they worked perfectly. When I got home, I gave them to my daughter, and purchased a new, longer pair for me this season. Been out on them in varied conditions, and they are working great!
I still think they taper too dramatically at the tail of the skis, and there is no question that the traditional G3 glue is more difficult to use than the new 'glue less' skins. But I also know that they work perfectly in the multiple snow conditions this 'Eastern US' skier confronts every year.
Great Stuff!

Good Skins but…
The skins are great, climb well and good quality. I found it easiest to trim from the tip down, not from the tail up as shown in the videos.
I was really hoping for some maple syrup in with the delivery…
