It took a few miles to get used to them but snugging up the laces has made a big difference. Because of the color they will always be my first choice to wear for travel.

These sneakers, for which I had high hopes, made me feel like I was ancient and wearing "orthopedic shoes," as we used to call them when we were kids. I wore them and stared at them the whole time, trying to justify their appearance as acceptable because pretty was out of the question. I wanted a sneaker that made me feel pretty. Instead, I felt ugly. I thought Orthofeet wasn't supposed to make people with bunions feel ugly.

Mom's Birthday Gift
