Surprisingly effective

These are really quite good at adding a bit of root lift. Need a little practice to gain lift without a kink, but they're really useful for a quick bit if lift when you don't have time for a full restyle. They stay in really well. In fact, a larger, round version would probably work better for my hair than the flexible rods, which were a complete waste of money for me.

Not for amateurs

The only thing I managed to get from these was a kink on one side of my parting and an ungodly tangle on the other. I do think that this is likely to be a user error and not a product one though, the product seems sturdy and in the right hands could be transformative!

These work great to hold hair in place wherever you need extra body. I like to use mine to hold my bangs in place after I’ve blown them dry. I set them in my hair in a Mohawk direction then when I’m finished drying the rest of my hair, take them out; Wa la! Instant Fuller Body in the hair and bangs. Works great!!
