I honestly don’t know if these are European hornets or Asian hornets, but we have hummingbird feeders that these really large hornets became aggressive over and ran all the hummingbirds off. These hornets also started coming after us whenever we were outside.We also have beehives about 1000 feet away, but bought this mainly to deal with the issues around the house as we not seen any signs of them attacking our bees . We bought two of these traps and wow are they ever effective?!!

Planned to use these in the spring -- until I watched a Vespa crabro (European Hornet) snatch a honey bee off the side of a hive. Up went the traps in five different locations. Within 24 hours all traps had dead and live Vespa. Every few days I needed to empty and refresh traps because they were too full. These are much better than my DIY traps.
