Corking Wine Bottles With A Portuguese Floor Corker

I have a degree of osteoarthritis that nearly stopped my first wine batch (a tasty Pinot Noir) after setting a dozen corks with the hand-held corker. I finally completed the batch and then immediately ordered a floor corker. The next two batches (Piesport Riesling and a German Mueller-Thurgau) with the new Portuguese Floor Corker put 72 bottles of German white wine on the rack with no adverse impact to my hands. If you're from the front end of the Baby-Boom generation, I highly recommend the upgrade to sitting with a floor corker to do the hard work in wine making.
