Nice bag, but strap is about 5 inches too short.

Nice bag and great compartments/organization, but strap is about 5 inches too short. I drilled out the strap rivets to disassemble the strap and made a longer strap for it using the existing shoulder pad and buckle. I used saddle leather I dyed to match the original. I used brass chicago screws to attach the strap, which are nice because they are removable. With the longer strap, it is a great bag. Probably should come with a longer strap, most people don't have the materials laying around to do what I did to fix it.

Worth Every Penny...

This satchel, like all their products, is a carefully thought out design executed with high quality workmanship. Their photos do not do it justice. The interior of the bag is where it shines. The ability to organize what you put into it means it can hold more than you think and provides efficient, quick access to gear. The Archeologist Satchel is all I need when roaming away from camp.

The strap is really short. Ridiculous.
