Eighth Cow (Deposit)

This is my 4th or 5th 1/8 of a cow. I can not speak any highly about the meat. It smells like the meat my mom would buy from the butcher in the 80’s. I dont know what went wrong with the beef in this country (aside from feeding the cows grains) but freedom farms is definitely doing something right. I am constantly telling my co workers at the FDNY about the quality of beef and the importance of grass fed beef. I have one complaint - sometimes the packaging leaks when i am defrosting the meat in the fridge. I had a shelf full of blood a few times. I now thaw it out in a ziploc. I also had some freezer burn on some cuts do to the packaging. Regardless, i will still be ordering another 1/8 in a few months. Hopefully the packaging problem gets resolved. Be well and stay safe!

The meat is very tasty. Dana and Lauren are wonderful people, understanding and easy to communicate with.

The only thing I would comment to improve would be thicker cuts.
