BasX MR1L 9.2 Channel Dolby Atmos® & DTS:X™ Cinema Receiver

Excellent but Complicated

I bought the MRL1 as my crown jewel to my set up. It is to power my Klipsch RP series 5. 2. 2 set up. Was expecting more power as well as bi. amping my front left and right channel speakers. After many configurations of what channels to use, I think I got it. The directions are very unclear. The quick hints on the setup menu are not clear instead of lmh or rmh the directions could at least say wht the channels are actually labeled. Other than that, I am blown away. My speakers are not only twice as loud but they seem to be working less to produce loud acurat sound. There is a slight imbalance on sub 1 and 2 signal. I live on the west coast so its hard to contact tech support because I work the hours tech support is open. Planning on waking at 4am to be able to call. The amp lighting is a perfect brightness and the blue color is great. My movies sound quite different and the atmos is stuning. I would definitely recommend the MRL1 to everyone. Definitely plan on buying more Emotiva hardware.

A Receiver without FM?

It sounds fine and works well, but I was surprized to find it does not RECEIVE FM stations. I read the specs, of course, wasn't looking for FM sensitivity and such, didn't notice it was missing. I've been at this hobby for a long time and just assumed it wouldl be there. I'm very happy about all the digital inuts. It solve several problems for me. More later, after I set up all the functions. I have eight Emotiva units and they all work very well.
