Meze Audio 109 PRO

Might be the best headphone I own.

I have loads and headphones and IEM's all ranging in price mostly in the mid-fi range (under 500.00). I have read all kinds of reviews on this headphone but the price point was a bit steep for me. I decided to save up for it and finally was able to pull the trigger. As always, Andrew and his Team were fantastic and helped me out a lot! From selection to fast shipping, Andrew and his team has it covered. Once I got the headphone it was everything I had read about it and more. The unboxing was just so cool. Beautiful presentation. I plugged it into various DAC/AMP (Topping A90 Discreate, FiiO K9 Pro, Xduoo TA-22, and a couple of others). The comfort of the headphone is amazing. I have been wearing it for almost a week straight now and no pressure points on the top of my head have been noted and the ear cups are devine. Sound wise...what can I say...amazing! I have a couple of other higher-end headphones but these are in a class by themselves. The dynamic driver they use is perfect. The bass is dead on for me (and I am a bit of a bass head). Mids and Treble are dialed in and right on. I do want to let folks who are considering this headphone, it does need some time to settle. I have noticed after about 40 hours the treble is settling down and tucking into the mid-bass really well. These are one of headphones where what you feed it is what you will hear. They are very reveling and true to the sound being provide. Overall, I am extremely glad I was finally able to get pair. Someone once said all you really need is a good planar headphone and a good dynamic. I am privileged to now have a great dynamic and a great planar.

I remember watching a reviewer a while back who said "all you really need is a really good dynamic and a really good planar and your set." He could not have been more right. These are stunning! Not only in looks but the sound...oh man! Easy to drive. Beautiful soundstage. Light weight. Just perfect. Musicteck made buying them really easy. Andrew and his team are just fantastic. If you are in the market for a great (and I mean great) pair of dynamic headphones, I highly recommend giving these a good long look.

The sound of the 109 Pro's are very agreeable to all kinds of genres and punch above their class. I've preferred them on tubes so far. They do so much right and are engaging. Instrument separation is a strong! I can go on and on but you'll have to check them out to get the full jist.
