Black Comanche - Motorcycle Boots

Great quality, great company

I am so glad someone recommended Indie Ridge to me. I've been impressed with the company since I first reached out with a question about sizing. Everyone I've interacted with (including the owner, Steve) has been super helpful and friendly. The boots themselves seem really well made! Nothing like that new leather smell getting them unboxed. I will admit - the break-in period was rough on these. I've had them for about a month, and the first 3 or 4 rides made me question their viability for me since I am used to wearing barefoot shoes (Xero Shoes Breckenridge were my riding boots before these) with a really wide toe box. But, the last several rides, I've found that they get more comfortable each time I put them on and I think they're really starting to fit my specific feet. I feel a lot safer with these on now that I'm getting used to how they feel. Also, I honestly appreciate the very minimal arch support since I have flat feet! It did take several weeks to adjust to how shifting feels in these but I think I finally have the hang of it (again, wearing barefoot shoes lets me really feel what's going on outside of the shoes, but that's not really the safest - felt a little "blind" for a while). Grip is great, plus the little extra height these give my vertically-challenged self makes me feel extremely secure at stops. Haven't tested the waterproofing capabilities yet. They are rather warm but it makes me want to buy one of IT'S vented pairs for the summer months. Hoping to get many years out of these!

Most comfortable boots ever

I'm not sure I've worn a more comfortable pair of boots ever, motorcycle or otherwise. Only minor complaint is that I have very wide feet. I ordered the Black Comanche a half size larger as recommended by the website, and the toe box still feels a bit tight. Granted, I've only worn them a few times. If they eventually break in a bit more it will be easy to recommend these boots to absolutely anyone, whether you ride or not.

comanche and vented

Puchased the comanche loved them so much purchased the vented... the day they arrived went on a 6 mile river hike.. My feet were perfect.. these boots are amazing.. highly recommend them.
