Arum Dress Pattern

Overall easy and cute

I'm super new to sewing, so the princess seams weren't intuitive to me, but doing them wrong the first time made me understand how to do them correctly. (Basically, I overthought it) And because of sewing my own clothes, I now realize I'm short-waisted, so had to do some altering for that which resulted in me sort of cutting some length out of the front bodice just below boob-line - kind of like an empire waist - which wasn't part of the pattern, but is a cute, accidental alteration. Prior to attempting the dress, I did search online to find other people's takes on the patterns, and there were a lot of folks who widened the width of the arm to allow for larger biceps. The download and instructions were super easy and I will definitely be making another Arum dress soon. It's great to have a dress that I can use as a sort of practice for skills like hems, seams, facing or binding, and princess seams, all without the harder tasks of zippers and such. It's a great pattern for a beginner like me!
