My dog decided to carry the original controller around and when I went to get it she decided to crunch down on it. It still worked but her fang went through the push button and it was hard to push. I don't use if for my dogs, I use it for the neighbor's dogs or if my dogs go to that side of the yard to bark at them. The remote came quickly and worked right out of packaging. Thank you for rescuing me from my neighbors insane dachshunds!
