The Late Harvest, Extra Virgin Olive Oil

The late harvest 2025/26 bottles I ordered for myself are great. Regrettably, my daughter-in-law, Marya, ordered, as a gift, several bottles of the the Estate Blend for me. It tasted terrible to me and three other people who tried it, nothing like the Estate Blend I was accustomed to in years past. It had a slight rancid aftertaste. I noticed the bottle said the harvest date was 2024. Knowing that fine olive oil does not last beyond a year, I informed Marya of the situation. She said she had expressly requested only the 2025 harvest when she placed the order. She contacted Nuvo about the error and she was informed that the label is old but the oil is new, but that they would contact me and make it right. I was never contacted by phone or email (I was careful to check spam folder and voice messages). Frankly, I find it surprising that a business that distinguishes itself in the marketplace on quality rather than price would: 1) ship a new product with an old date on the bottle when the date is important; 2) would say that they were going to make it right but not take the trouble to do so. I would assess the Estate Blend to be of less quality than what I can buy at Costco for 1/3 the cost.

So glad I was able to order on line. Awesome item.
