Beautiful, Well Made, and Unique

I looked at these boots many times before finally deciding to pull the trigger. In person, this is a beautiful boot that reads similar to a dirty buck shoe. The texture is subtle from a distance, but distinctive up close. It adds some visual interest and a fun twist without being too bold or showy. The boots pair well with jeans, chinos, and other casual pants. The fit feels identical to the fit in the traveller loafers, which I have in suede and CXL. The CXL loafer feels slightly larger on my foot, as it is a little more structured and less broken in than my suede loafers, and this boot feels larger as well. As the leather starts to break in, it feels like the boot is drifting closer to the feel of my suede loafers, which I hope continues.

First purchase

As soon as I got them I could tell a lot of care went into the construction of the boots. They feel substantial in the hand and the stitching is great. Definitely a step up from my Redwings. It'll take some time to break in but I love the material. I wish having non-traditional /less safe boots was more popular. It would incentivize makers in having more choices. I have enough"regular" items in my wardrobe. There was a small nick in the material but I think I'm the only one who would notice with the long nap. Overall very happy and ended up purchasing a pair of Chelsea Boots right afterwards. Both half size down from brannock size and fit comfortably.

Quick shipping the boots are amazing. They are indeed cup cartoon colored. The texture is so unique.
