Captain's Ration Stout

So far so good. Once active fermentation ended (around 7 days), I added about 1/3 cup of crushed espresso beans soaked in vodka. I kegged 2.5 gallons and bottled the rest. 1st few days of tasting, I could tell it needed to sit another week ... The stout itself is very good. Looking forward to the flavors to mellow.

My Brothers and I really enjoyed brewing the Captain Ration kit.

Everything came in great shape and the brew day went great. Really look forward to try the brew in the fall!

Dark with substance. Round and mellow. A winters nightcap for sure. Just enough to keep your head warm.
