These have been excellent on my muddy farm between mud puddles and spilled water containers the waterproofing has been tested and done great!! Super comfortable as well. A little more narrow than I had hoped for, glad I ordered the half size up

Love Them, But...

I hadn't worn barefoot shoes before this, and let me tell you, I am completely sold! These are so comfortable that it's difficult for me to wear "regular" shoes anymore. It took a while to get used to the shape, but once I did, I really liked these. So why the 3 stars? Well, after 6 months of everyday wear, the treads on parts of the shoes are almost completely flat. This is a big problem for me because I live in Iceland, I don't have a car, and I walk everywhere, and due to the wide toe box, my ice spikes won't fit correctly on them. By the end of the colder months here (ie, much of the year), I didn't feel safe walking in them. The backs of the heels also seem to be wearing out quite quickly as well. I also had to purchase new insoles because mine wore out so quickly. This could all just be due to my particular gait, though. On a superficial note, I am a size US women's 11, and the story of my life is that, past a certain size, some shoes just aren't as cute. Sadly that's the case with these shoes - I ordered a 11.5 and they fit well enough, but they make me feel a bit frumpy. I really want to take a chance on another pair of Lems boots with a full leather outsole to see if that helps with the wear-and-tear on the treads, but I'm not so sure, because I recently ordered the Trail Blazers, which I love so far...but the treads on those already seem to be wearing out after only a month of wear. I'm really torn. These are so so so comfortable, but I can't afford to replace such expensive shoes every 6 months. I wish they could be re-soled because that would solve my major problem with them. :(

The fit!

I really like the look of these shoes, and I love that they're barefoot-style with a wide toe box. They're lightweight, comfortable, and very cute. The only downside for me is the fit. I bought my size but it was too tight for me so I had to size up by half a size, but even then they still feel a little tight in my left side toes! My second toe is longer than my big toe, so that may be why the shape doesn't fit my feet perfectly. I would return them but I don't think I can since I've already worn them. While they're comfortable for shorter periods, I'm not sure they can be my everyday boots. Overall, I really like the design and quality, but I wish the toe box was a little bit more comfortable.
