Highly recommend sizing up

The tan/brown Bernadettes were my first ever purchase from American Duchess five years ago. Whenever I shop for any shoes I hover between a size 7 and 7.5 depending on the style, so it was a toss-up for me when buying these. Back then I got a size 7. They fit for a while, or so I thought. Long story short, I highly recommend you size up at least a half size with these due to the pointed toe shape. My feet changed and I just couldn't wear my size 7 Bernadettes any more so I recently bought a second pair in a size 8. MUCH better. I've never worn a size 8 before but in these shoes it was absolutely necessary. They felt "normal" even though on paper you would think they would be too big. Also, fun fact, the tan/brown colorway seems to have changed over the years. I love the new ones so so much in their new color and fit. great style , versatile & fun

I have two pair , one in brown/tan colorway and the other in the perfect Fall colors black/cognac . I ordered size 8.5 in the lighter colored shoe for warm weather wear & sheer stockings or bare wear & the cognac in a 9 for cooler weather & warm socks , worked out great . I think the brown/tan would even work with some later looks like the 30s . Different fit than the Londoner , shoe sides above the stripes comes up higher & can rub the ankle bone if that's an issue you have , I just wear socks or stockings and that's enough for me .

These are my first pair of AD shoes, and they are wonderful. True to size and very comfortable.
