Cute, but material was meh

I ended up returning both pairs of these that I got. I am between an 8.5 and a 9 (on the wider side) and purchased both a 39 and a 40. The 40 ended up being the better size for me, but I could not get over the fact that the composite suede looked really flimsy, and the color felt like it was almost pre-faded. The shoes are very light, but they didn't seem to have enough support for me. I may give memery another try with their leather sandals, but the composite suede was a no for me.
