AmScope PA10XK-V300 Finite Plan Achromatic Biological Objective Lense with 10X Magnification and 160mm Tube

i updated the lenses on a wonderful Nikon S series with a set of amscope plan lenses w/ knurled ring; 4x, 10x, 40x & 60x.. they are an improvement on the 1960’s vintage achromatic lenses.. the field is indeed flatter and somewhat brighter.. overall i’m very satisfied.. i might mention that i replaced the 100x oil with the 60x on the turret to eliminate “oil issues” and don’t miss it; at the same time i mounted a samsung S7 camera on a dedicated 10x amscope eyepiece.. the S7 has an 8x digital zoom that ups the 60x (no oil & 600x to the eye) to a whopping 4800x (someone please correct me if i’m wrong); the results are very impressive and it’s a rabbit hole i love falling into..

Good for price

It's a good objective (macro photography), but it's no very sharp in the corners, in the center is very sharp but in the corners has many chromatic aberration, it's useful for some scenarios but you needs to know when and what take photos with it
