These are my very first wired IEMs ever. Before I was introduced to these I had experience with Audeze LCD-X and LCD-4z reference over ear headphones that are openbacked. Now that I have thoroughly listened to my Symphonium Audio Crimson IEMs I can tell from a perspective of the music enjoyment (musicality) part of a sound signature that these IEMs make me enjoy listening to music so much more than I did before with my neutral sounding signature, super analytical reference LCD-4z headphones. These IEMs when paired with the Effect Audio Code 24 IEM cable become completely alive with not only more details, but more bass punch and tightness along with boosted vocals and a much more powerful sound presentation than the stock copper 8-wire cables. I would highly recommend saving some money by selecting the 4-wire version and using that extra money to put into a proper audio cable upgrade, because the stock cable just don't do these $1500-1700 IEMs any justice period. I know others have mentioned that with the Code 24 copper/silver 16awg hybrid cable these IEMs truly come alive and can even compete with more expensive IEMs available. I will never underestimate the benefits in the improved sound stage and power that premium IEM cables can offer. There are plenty of premium cables over $1000, but the Effect Audio Code 24 cables are truly breathtaking in my humble experience. I just wanted to update that I now use these Symphonium Audio Crimson IEMs for listening to music on the go and at work. I recently purchased a little more expensive IEM called "Melodic Artification Alter Ego", which is open backed. I mostly use these for listening to music at home in my audio/pc room and any other quiet environments to truly appreciate them. I feel that it is nice to have more than one tool(IEM) for the job available at your disposal. Thanks and I am so glad I introduced myself into the wired IEM world, because I was truly missing out! Equipment used: -Chord Hugo 2 DAC/Headphone Amp(mobile use) combined with a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra(utilizing the USB Audio Player Pro app that tells the music to bypass the phones internal DAC and feeds a Bitperfect stream directly to my Chord Hugo 2. My music source is nearly entirely always Qobuz and Qobuz through the Roon app on the PC when listening at home. For stationary home listening I use: -Chord Hugo TT2 DAC/Headphone Amp combined with a -Chord Hugo Mscaler (audio upscaler)

I've had the Crimson in my possession for over a week now, and I've thoroughly enjoyed the listening experience! Coming from the Sony IER-M9, the only other IEMs I own, I'm glad I purchased the Crimson, for the following reasons: 1. Better fit right out of the box. I still haven't had to tip-roll yet. The tips the Crimson came with fit right out of the box. 2. More comfortable wear over time. The ear guides on the M9 make it hard for the cables to remain behind my ears most times, requiring me to tighten the cinch under my throat to stop that. That also then sometimes leads to the IEMs getting unseated more easily. I haven't tried 3rd party cables yet, as there are very few that are compatible with the M9. 3. From a sonic perspective, the Crimson has a less congested midrange (read: not as warm), and an umistakably emphatic subbass, lending weight to bass notes where necessary. And the Crimson is also somewhat clearer, and having a wider soundstage as well. I'm not a reviewer, so I'm just describing as I hear the differences. The Crimson is definitely worth the blind buy to me!
