The whole reason we purchased the Simply Good coffee maker was to get away from plastic. this carafe top is nothing but plastic! why would it not be like the original one?

I love the coffee pot and the coffee.

Parts and service

My original carafe broke, so I ordered a new one. The lid that didn’t break fit too loose, dribbling coffee during a pour, so I wrote an appropriate review. Customer service from SGC wrote directly to me looking to make it right, and sent this part as the fix. Well, folks - it works, so the five stars is as much a review of the product as the service. It fits the other new carafe as well, so the older parts must’ve had slightly thicker glass rims or something.
