All Grain versus Extract

Thought I could save some brewday time by using extract. Quality of the finished beer for extract was way less than all grain for the same beer. Advice - stick to all grain and worry less about the time it takes for a successful brewday.

In addition to the crystallized grapefruit powder during kegging, I added fresh grapefruit peel & some smashed grapefruit chunks when dry hopping. Once this was ready to drink, right away it was just ok & I wasn’t impressed. But after conditioning another couple of weeks… it evolved into something pretty great. Smells like a grapefruit bomb, but just right & balanced taste-wise. It tastes even more delicious after a long day of beating yourself up doing manual labor, yard work, etc. I’d brew this again.
