Honestly that's about the only thing it does maybe it also gives you the sense of barely a cushion to sit on your cooler if you use it as such. Other than that it really doesn't keep from things sliding as much as they claim and if you receive it like I did rolled up then you have to unroll it and place it under something that has weight to completely flatten it out before installing on your cooler otherwise you might have an issue like I read from other reviews.
